We are all moved by the plight of the Japanese people, since an earthquake struck North-Eastern Japan on March 11th 2011. The subsequent tsunami causing widespread devastation, wiping whole towns off the map, causing the deaths of 7000 people, whilst 11,000 remain unaccounted for. The aftermath of the tsunami has left an estimated 400,000 people destitute, in emergency shelters, whilst makeshift shantytowns have been popping up along the coast of Japan.

We at Faculty have taken the initiative by organising a benefit fundraiser night to be held on Wednesday 6th of April at the Area51, University of Westminster's Harrow Campus. Please come along and show your support for all those affected by the disaster. On the night there’ll be some great acts, a raffle with a prize draw where you’ll stand a chance of winning: festival tickets, signed merchandise from your favorite artists and bands; t-shirts, vinyl records, CDs, posters, fine art prints, and all manner of other goodies. There is no door charge but donations are more than welcome.

Doors open from 7-11.30pm, with an after party to be held at Undercroft, the SU bar, into the twilight hours.

All proceeds to be donated to the Red Cross.

Many thanks from all at Faculty Music & Media!
